Living life to the fullest- being healthy, fit, and serene...

I joined SparkPeople in December 2009, after a family Christmas party full of high calorie, high fat indulgence. I felt awful! I did not intend to lose weight, just to become more aware of healthy eating/ healthy lifestyle. Wow, has SparkPeople delivered (and then some)! I enjoy having more energy and a better outlook on life. I am setting goals and moving forward. I love the "one step back, two steps forward" ...

Eat 5 a day (fruits/veggies).

45 minutes fitness activity per day 6 days per week.

Set up a reserve savings account. Add $25 per month.

Maintain healthy weight.

My Program:
Drink 8 or more cups of water each day. Keeping a water bottle within reach helps.

Keep healthy snacks within reach.

I use a financial program to track expenses and budget. Use payroll deduction to build savings.

Log into SparkPeople everyday. Use the trackers, read articles, be involved in the communities, read/post to message boards.

I will need to ponder the Ogden Half because my must run May Schedule includes Frederick (MD) Running Festival on the first weekend, the Maryland Half Marathon on the second weekend and the MCVET 5k *and* 10k on Memorial Day. If I add another race in May, I may find things a little cool around my house. But when it comes time to fill in Utah, I will consider it.
