Thanks for your words of encouragement -- I did only gain 3 pounds (still down 18), so I'm not too fussed about it. We stayed lean on breakfasts and indulged slightly at lunch and dinner, not like the crazy people we used to be in the old days. It's a wonderful thing to really enjoy myself and come back ready to go back on low carb. I'm half thinking we should do this every 90 days!
Hi! Thank you for your comment on my blog about tossing the old, baggy, jeans and sharing your experience with me. It's true, it's quite a battle with the mind to get rid of bigger clothes. I've never been very overweight - but for years I've had clothes on my rail that I couldn't wear - and always a feeling of 'can I get into that?', so the 'safe' clothes were very important. Now, I realised, I can get into EVERYTHING on my clothes rail, and the big ones are actually starting to look silly on me!
Good luck with your retirement plans and congratulations on the news of a new grandchild on the way! I wish I lived nearer my son, and I have another three years of compulsory work before I can retire. Oh well - my time will come! 21 days ago
