The Beautification of Phebe

I got that from Notblushing, but love it.

I'm halfway to my goal. It's like coming out of halftime, with the third and fourth quarters yet to play.

Well, and maybe I'm kind of stuck in overtime - that's how I try to look at my ever-present plateaus.

I worked previously for a Catholic organization, and I was seldom uncomfortable. I get tired of the Christmas everywhere starting in October, but it is everywhere, so you just can't avoid it. I just tell myself that they are coming from their own background, and many who celebrate Christmas are not religious at all.

The company DOES advertise as a faith based organization, so I guess I kinda knew what I was getting into. I will be able to tell more if/when I get to see the place/meet some people in person.

There is no Jewish community in the small town where I live, closest one is about 45 minutes away in West Omaha.

Thanks for the post to my blog!

I'm actually in the Southeastern market - I live in Miami, FL. The audiences down here are pretty unwilling to think outside the box, in terms of type casting. I've given a lot of thought to moving to NYC one of these days, but I don't feel like I'm ready to do that. I want to bulk up my resume with some newer credits - it's a risky move to move into a new market during a dry spell, because they want to see current work because working means you're a hire-able commodity.

Oh yes, I agree that dance has it all. I've tried Jazzercize and Zumba and somehow I was always standing on the leg the instructor wanted me to kick.

In college we were required to take 3 semesters of Phys Ed.
Basketball - A - I was a star
Tennis - A - I won the tournament
Social Dance - B - and that was a gift. LOL

I didn't realize that I had not yet "friended" you. Just did that.

Yes, would love to work in the water. There are limits on how much time you should spend in the water due to the chemicals, but that really appeals to me.

Thanks for the great information. Son is way too old for WIC, he is 14. I don't really know where any services might be in this town, but I do have a phone book. Thankfully, my landlord pays all the utilities, so I don't have those bills.

I am thinking that between the unemployment and the child support, we will be okay for a short time.

As far as educational opportunities, the logical step would be to go from PTA to PT, but PT is a doctorate program. At my age, that seems daunting at best. I was thinking along the lines of Athletic Trainer or Personal Trainer and shift over into the fitness industry. That would be less of a time commitment.
