emoticon is my motto for this year!

I have been away because of computer issues, but I now have a new one and hopefully those issues are laid to rest!

Here’s a little tidbit you may or may not know about Prebiotics:

It’s actually considered a ‘slimming supplement’! According to the latest Canadian research – overweight adults who took a prebiotic supplement lost an average of 2 pounds over 12 weeks, compared with those on a placebo.

The recommended intake is to try to get 4 to 20 grams a day of foods such as garlic, onions, artichokes and fortified yogurt or supplements.

The health bonus is that prebiotics stimulate the growth of healthy bacteria in the gut to regulate digestion.

I hope you have a really super weekend!

Oh…you’ve lost more weight! Congratulations on having lost another 2 pounds since I last noticed! You are ahead of me by 1 pound for the month of January! Let's keep on keeping on! Woohoo!

Hi Rico,
My upcoming races that i'm registered for so far.
Dayton 5k--Jan 30 We'll be running the Daytona speedway track. that should be exciting.
Rock and Roll Mardi Gras 1/2 in New Orleans Feb 28. That's with about 15 other sparkers from the Road Runners Team.
Cheeta Chase 3k in March. It runs around a zoo.
Run for the Gecko 5k in May This was the first race I ever did last year. I can't wait to run it and see how my times have increased!

Oh yeah, and lets not forget January 9, 2011 The Disney FULL marathon. My first. At least I have a year to train for that one.

It's pretty cloudy here today but the weather is nice. High 70s. I'm so happy Florida is back to *normal*. Those freezing temps we had for almost 2 weeks did me in....LOL

I'm off to the gym. Have a great day! (Hope you're able to get your miles in!)

Hi Rico thank you for that beautiful prayer I so appreciate you and I just love hearing from you. Your workout sounds great!! The ab-coaster would be a great thing for you. I had strength training last night and we hit the abs hard Im so sore today. He had me do something called the cockroach its where you lay on your back bring your feet up straight in the air and hold a 25lb weight above your head it not only works your abs but you can feel it in your triceps. Man Rico my abs and arms were on fire. Planks are also good for ab work I can only hold it for a miinute this new trainer is taking me up like 20 notches in my workout Im so thankful to the Lord for helping me find him.

I think its great you are teaching yourself the guitar you are so talented and I know the Lord is blessing the gifts he has given you. I also like the old hyms my church doesnt do them enough. I pray you have continued success this is my year Rico to get to my goal weight Im so excited everytime I look in the mirror at myself I cant help but well up with tears of thankfulness to the Lord for what he has done in my life. Have a blessed day in Jesus dear friend much love to you.

Thanks for the Goodie. I have a jump rope that was given to me but I haven't tried using it yet.
Yes, I do carry a cell phone with me when I run. The furthest I've been away from home is about 6 miles. But even if I was only 1 mile away, I'd still carry it. I carry it on ALL runs. You just never know where you'll be or what will happen. I run on a lot of dirt roads and I've imagined myself tripping in a ditch and twisting an ankle out in the middle of no where. That's why I carry a cell.
I will not run again when sick! Oh my gosh, I was brought to my knees, literally. I had to get on the ground before I fell, everything was going black and I got so dizzy. It was NOT a good feeling!

Hope you have a marvelous Thursday!
