Yes a few of them have...because that is in THEIR best interests right? I don't recall any of them ever BUYING anything from the gallery.

They all expect to get special treatments as far as the time frames for expiration go. I have one friend that just moved to Colorado and put some things in. We picked up the heavy pieces of furniture...brought them into the gallery...FREE of course...and she had the audacity to message me and tell me not to donate the stuff if it didn't sell that she would have her girlfriend come in and pick up the stuff that didn't sell from us FREE...what the heck are we...chopped liver? It's so rude...and self serving you just have to laugh! emoticon

I set her straight on THAT one...I said..well..guess what since we brought all of the things into the gallery FREE...we won't be giving them away to a friend that didn't do a THING to help you out...got it?

Honestly...fools abound...everywhere! I'll be letting her know that when her stuff expires...I won't be extending them...I HATE being taken advantage of...and I'm hating it more and more every day. Time to start thinking about an exit plan for this biz...seven years is a LONG time in retail! emoticon

Honestly I think the most aggressive one has mild dementia. She loses words and her anger that comes out of NO where are very important signals. Now with the foot/ankle problem looming she is a real basket case. Yes...life is hard..WE above ALL people know that but you don't lash out at friends you have had for 25 years because of it! The really weird thing is that this couple that she now has so much animosity towards are a couple she and her husband brought into the group.

I think I'll remind her of that the next time she starts her let's exclude A & C...just very poor and spoiled mean nasty behavior...no wonder I get so irked!

I was telling another sparky friend I have spent 25 years with these people..that's a QUARTER of my entire life! They haven't changed...the hubs and I have.

I will definitely keep my eyes open for new prospects in the friendship category...want to move to Florida? emoticon emoticon

Oh..the phone is one thing I never worry about. These ya~hoos NEVER call..too primitive for them...or maybe too personal? We text..or e-mail which is great for me because I consider phone time a necessary evil if I have to call about a service, call a customer, or straighten out a bill. I've never been a phone person..ever.

I'd much rather let my fingers do the talking. The group thing is a thing. I'm muddling my way through it and will come up with a solution when the time is right. At least this group..for the most part causes me no misery just occasional aggravation.

MIL was full tilt MISERY...so that was a EASY choice...too bad it only took me 38 years of suffering to realize cutting the strings from her would be pure JOY.

Vacating the group would be essentially shutting down our entire social outlet...I don't think I'm fully and completely ready for that,,as you know I'm a very social person..but I'd rather be with a kinder more gentle crowd.

We will see where this all leads us..hopefully some new social friendships will spring from somewhere...I don't know where as we are ALWAYS working and some of the customers we have might be even crazier than the ya~hoos we already hang with! emoticon

You are right Linda. I have made beautiful trays, I put napkins under plastic so I had to make plastic doilies. They look fabulous and I will be able to use them for a long time, I like to wash our utensils and put them back for the next concert. I was white sheets for ten foot tables and I iron them. I like to do things RIGHT. I too was raised FRUGAL. at in Maine.
