Hello lovely Sparkies! Thank you for taking the time to stop by my page, I hope we can be friends :). Please, call me Pinky!
I'm a 19 year old college student with many aspirations; one of which is to shed this extra weight! I started gaining a significant amount of weight around the the 5th grade. I'm a 19 year old college student with many aspirations; one of which is to shed this extra weight! I started gaining a significant amount of weight around the the 5th grade. I grew quite quickly, and was a rather large, and tall girl all through school. My senior year of HS, I decided to do something about it. I became much slimmer but developed a distorted body image and begin to accumulate unhealthy habits in order to lose weight. More about that in a blog coming soon!
Upon graduation, that summer and all my semesters afterwards I stopped working out, eating well and gained a large amount of weight.
Here I am, two years later, at the heaviest in my life. This battle has always been a roller coaster. As I grow older, however. I learn more about myself and a healthy way of living. It isn't about image, it's about being healthy, energetic, comfortable in your own skin, and most of all happy! This journey is as much about the struggle as it is the result! It's a mental process more than a physical.
What I love about Sparkpeople is that it allows me to experience this metamorphosis with understanding and caring people. And I hope we can experience our journeys together! Feel free to friend me, message, comment etc.

Short term:
-Reach 200lbs by June 2nd.
-No soda or sugared drinks!
-Be positive as much as possible.
-Help those whenever I can!
-Do well in school.

Long Term:
-Reach my goal of 140lbs!
-Graduate college
-Be a good influence on the world.

My Program:
-Exercise one day and rest one day, constantly.

-Cardio every exercise day, and strength every other exercise day.

-Use the nutrition tracker to stay within calorie range.

-I have an amazing workout buddy!

Yay! 2 weeks on weight watchers - 2 pounds down! Quickest weight loss in a looong time! I'll be sticking with WW for the food tracking and structure - but Spark is definitely where the human element is! Without the support and encouragement of folks like you, I'd still be lost! Or have fully given up!

Woo! Glad to see you're back too! I've got a long way to get back to where I was - but, ah well. I can do it. It's just taking me a lot longer than I had hoped/expected. I need more discipline! :-)

I am SO GLAD you are back Pinky!!!! I wondered what had happened to you...Losing weight is hard. And it's easier to stop. You are going to make mistakes and you're going to slip and stuff a donut in your mouth at some point; don't hate yourself when you do that. God gives us a new day to start fresh. Learn from your mistakes. and never quit. Set realistic goals. If you lose a lb a month you will lose 12 pds this yr, 24 in two years...a nice slow weight loss that will be easier to maintain...don't expect perfection, expect progress!!! Take care!!!

Hi thanks for stopping by my page..those minutes really add up, especially if your a leader, a lot of computer time..but I have to slow the pace..too many hrs on computer!
