Almost Time for a Half????

So welcome to my newly revamped page!

Much of my information was out of date and my goals needed to be reset so here I go....

I have continued to run and an interesting thing has happened. I originally ran to lose weight but now I run to run and any additional weight loss will be a by-product.

I have recently done my second 10-miler was able to go about 7.5 miles before I had to take a walk break. I am working to get stronger and faster and I hope to ...

I have recently done my second 10-miler was able to go about 7.5 miles before I had to take a walk break. I am working to get stronger and faster and I hope to complete a half-marathon by Spring of 2011 and a FULL MARATHON next Fall (2011)!

My Goals:
I am a Type II diabetic. I wear a C-PAP machine when I go to bed due to sleep apnea. I am self-conscious about my appearance.



These are all things that I might possibly be able to change if I just give myself the chance...

My Program:
Currently, I run every other day. I try to vary my distances but with a minimum of 4 miles.

I am looking to standardize my training while increasing my speed and distance.

Personal Information:
I am originally from Northeast Philly, but I now live in South Jersey.

Other Information:
I have a 22 year old daughter that is morbidly obese. I worry for her EVERY SINGLE DAY. She is a beautiful girl with crazy smarts and talent.



I hope to inspire her so that SHE can take the steps she needs to. NOT because I care about how she looks - but because her weight has caused her to retreat from life, and she has so very much to offer.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. When I started Sparks on Aug 30, I had a goal in mind for Feb 1, 2010 (my 45th B-Day) but I hit a plateau that lasted way too long. Now I am trying not to focus so much on the date, but on how I feel, and I am feeling fabulous! emoticon

Thanks for the comment on my page. I needed to run 6.5 miles for a total of 50 for the month. So I ran 6.6 to "smash" my mark. Keep running. The more you run , the better you will get .
