Hi Pat - as always it is good to hear from you. I though of you when we were up at the cabin this year. I still check in with Spark - I think it is a habit more than anything. My weight loss is on a plateau and I know I need to kick back in gear as I still have 40 pounds to go! I'm hoping now that it is cooler I'll get the motivation.
I have a Spark tracker but it has limitations. I'm thinking of just going back to a pedometer!

Hi Pat - Good to hear from you! I am not as consistent on Spark as I used to be but I keep working away to get the weight off. It is a constant struggle. I long ago gave up on expecting perfection - I just work for better numbers when I get lab work. I hope a by-product will be weight loss along the way. Hang in there. How are you liking your Fit Bit? You asked what I think about Adkins diet. I did it back in the mid-70's. I do not believe it is a healthy nor an effective eating plan. When I'm having strong sugar cravings I will eat low-carb (but not high fat) for about 3 days. That is all I need to break those cravings. More days of low-carb, low-fat food (which has to be high protein) plan is too hard on my kidneys to continue. I know there are people who have done well on Adkins, but I know many more who have done well by gradually improving their nutrition and increasing exercise. Best wishes! -Marsha 880 days ago
