Tough?! It's only the start!
This journey is more like a battle sometimes. You battle that inner voice, you battle temptation: everyday is a battle but we are tough and we will win. No one is going to get us fit and healthy for us, we must do the dirty work ourselves. Once upon a time, I allowed my 5'5" frame to carry 265 pounds. I paid the price. I was unhappy, tired, and man my feet were always barking at me. So, little by little I fought back against myself. It's been a tough journey and I have sweated off ...
This journey is more like a battle sometimes. You battle that inner voice, you battle temptation: everyday is a battle but we are tough and we will win. No one is going to get us fit and healthy for us, we must do the dirty work ourselves. Once upon a time, I allowed my 5'5" frame to carry 265 pounds. I paid the price. I was unhappy, tired, and man my feet were always barking at me. So, little by little I fought back against myself. It's been a tough journey and I have sweated off 100 pounds. It's inspiring and motivating having found that part of me that cares about "me". She was difficult to find behind all the negative self talk/thoughts but I found her. That discovery is difficult to hold on to because that 265 pounds girl is always in the background. This journey isn't easy but finding a way to make it happen, to make ourselves succeed... it's freaking awesome and it's worth trying for... every single day. It makes me think: I've come this far and it's been tough but it's only the start!

My Goals:
2013 is a new year for me. I'd love to lose more weight and continue my journey here on Spark. Children are a possibility for the future and I'd love to be at a healthy weight not only fit for pregnancy but for my family.
My Program:
I plan on continuing my use of Spark tools and staying within a healthy range for my calorie intake. I would also like to start incorporating some strength training into my week. I was thinking I would start by doing a week of cardio followed by a week of strength and see how that works for me.
Personal Information:
I am a full-time loving wife and puppy mommy to two very active dogs that are more like a full-time job times three! :-) I am also a dispatcher and standing by for a new and better career opportunity. I am so excited that I found sparkpeople and even more excited that they created the sparkpeople free phone app!
Other Information:
Note to self: 1 pound is equal to 3,500 calories (that's the first secret to weight loss).
