The last few miles.....

I have lost 120 pounds over the last 7 years. I have yo-yoed with 20 of that for several years. Now I am back at 100 down, 25ish to go. I recenlty turned 50 and really want to get to my goal. It gets harder each year and I don't want to spend the next few years overweight like I have the last few years. UPDATE: Well I have gained back 30ish pounds. Some of my new skinny clothes don't fit currently. I know why. Not enough healthy choices. I am trying to get back to my good habits but good ones ...

I am going to get back to 135. I just need to go back to what I know works for me! Tomorrow will be day 1 of the re-energized me (even if I am not feeling it all the time)!

My Goals:
I want to be comfortable in my own skin. I want to be more fit (esp. for shopping trips). I want to not be thinking of my weight in social and public settings. I want to look good and feel good in my clothes.

My Program:
Well I have tried a bit of everything over the years. I am now on a combination Spark Dietary/South Beach plan. I am exercising on my Life Cycle 5 mornings a week for 45 minutes. I walk if it is close enough and I have always parked away from the door for extra steps (and fewer door dinks). In a nutshell, Fewer, smarter calories and inceased activity.

Personal Information:
I am originally from Tennessee and now I live in Van Nuys, CA. I have lived in Louisville (twice), Salt Lake City (twice), Evansville, IN, New Orleans, Las Vegas, San Diego, LA (twice now) and 11 years in Albuquerque, NM in the last 29 years. I was a NCIU RN for many years before switching to Marketing and Research. Now I am between jobs and looking. I love to shop! I love shoes esp. Chanel, Prada and Dior. I love computers and all electronic gadgets. That would be why I am looking for a job currently!

Other Information:
I just noticed (Dec.2, 2010) something I put in My Goals oh so long ago. It made me laugh. I said, "I want to be comfortable in my own skin." Wow. After loosing a total of 142 pounds I can safely say an entire extra person could get in here and be very comfy with me! Needless to say I have a little #lot# of exta. LOL!!! Much better than fat any day though!
