Sparking my way to a healthy lifestyle!

I used to want to lose weight for all the wrong reasons.
Now I'm older and wiser and I have finally embraced the idea that weight loss is all about getting healthy. There is an alarmingly high rate of Type 2 Diabetes in my family and now is my chance to avoid it.

I love life and I am learning to love myself wholeheartedly and give myself the health that I deserve.

I'm a vegetarian but my husband and son are not. My husband is lactose intolerant and my son is allergic to cows milk, so I have been modifying the way that I cook to accommodate both of their needs. Vegan cooking is a great solution. I'm always on the lookout for yummy, healthy vegan recipes.

Many of my goals are focused on getting organized. I believe that clearing clutter from my home and my mind will help me on the path to getting healthy!

My Program:
Vegetarian, low sodium, as much fresh produce as possible.

My exercise goals include getting back into some of my old favourites - yoga, snowshoeing, biking, jogging and belly dancing!


Personal Information:
I want to celebrate my 40's with a stronger, healthier body!

April marked my third year on Spark. I had a baby in 2010 and two surgeries earlier this summer so I took a break for a while but now I'm back and I'm serious about losing weight again.
