Hi, I'm Ravi. I've been struggling with weight loss and keeping it off since before I can remember. I was able to shed a lot of weight the summer before my junior year of high school by (I think) doing a lot of exercise and becoming a vegetarian. However, I don't remember. My junior year of high school, I took on swim team which helped for me to keep off the weight. However, the weight slowly came back and I am at my peak weight now.

Reading the Spark made me realize that I was yo-yo dieting and not changing my lifestyle habits and that is why the weight wasn't kept off.

So this time I'm trying to change my habits.

My Goals:
I would like to lose about 50 pounds as a long term goal. However, right now my goal is to lose 30 pounds by October of this year. I also would like to eventually run a 5k in 30 minutes.

My Program:
To meet my goal, I am tracking calories, drinking 8 glasses of water every day, doing fast break goals of 1 vegetable and 1 fruit every day and journaling every day. I exercise about 30 minutes or 230 calories every day.

My name''s Ravi. I''m from a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia. I go to Georgia State University and i'm a pre-med biology major working to get into PA school.

Other Information:
My favorite books are The Kite Runner & 1000 Splendid Suns, The Bell Jar, Brave New World, and my Human Physiology textbook! :P

My favorite movies are Garden State, Bubble, Summer Storm, Charlie Bartlett, and Amilee.
