I've been in your shoes...I've been a member a million times over on this site over the last 10 years or so.After a few weeks or a couple months, I was convinced the weight wasn't coming off fast enough. I was losing weigh overall but I was behind my goal and I kept falling more and more behind. Last Jan I started again and decided that this was going to be the time I don't quit!!

I've blown all my other attempts out of the water and not let any thing get in my way this time. There are a couple things I've come to accept this time around and I wanted to share them with you...

Life doesn't stand still for any one - you have to adapt your plan around life, or you'll always be finding yourself "starting over tomorrow"

And the other thing I've learned...It's not about being perfect, it's about being better than yesterday =] With life always going on around you and there will always be things that you just can't completely give up either, you have to compare your results of today's effort with your results of the past. How did you used to act when you were faced with the same situation? And then also to how you were the last time as well. As long as each time you do better...it's progress. No one is going to eat and exercise perfect each and every single day, and even if you did, how tempting then would it be to go back to old habits when you hit your goal??

That's how I've managed to quit quitting!

I've been a member a little more than two years. I made fantastic progress and lost 100 pounds in the first year BUT I became careless about nutrition and exercise and have gained a lot of the pounds back! I became disgusted with myself and closed my Spark account, but soon realized I NEEDED to be here. I'm back using the nutrition and exercise trackers now - they are so important. The sense of community and the friendships I have made here keep me going!
