The batik is a 12" square, and will be used as a wall hanging. It was fun!

Thank you for the goodie! And the blog is sort of like our travel journal - helps me keep track of what happened where, what we saw, all that. It's fun!

Travel Fashion Girl (www.travelfashiongirl.com) has a little blurb on how she packs - go to her site and search for "packing tips" - she only takes a capsule wardrobe for the temperature of where she's going. I'm kind of stuck with three mini-capsules to cover all temperatures.

I actually don't carry a blazer, I tend to not look very good in them since I'm kind of a boxy shape. I had a short cotton motorcycle style jacket, which I folded like a men's shirt. In addition to the packing cubes, I have a packing envelope - it's about 12 x 18, and comes with a plastic sheet to use when folding items like long-sleeve shirts. I carry most of my woven items in there, including that moto jacket, folded like a man's shirt when you buy it in a plastic package. Other option is to simply use the blazer as your airplane wear; many travellers recommend wearing your heaviest clothes on the plane, and I always get cold so I have extra layers with me anyway.

Hope that helps.
