2015: The slate is wiped clean! A fresh, shiny new start!

JANUARY 2015
Pounds Lost: 9

January wrap-up - I started GSC on 1/25/15 and within the first week I lost 9 pounds. I decided to try this route after sticking to an eating plan and working out regularly without seeing results. So, we'll see how incorporating mostly fruits and veggies without ANY processed food, dairy or bread works for the long-term. This week I will re-introduce lean protein meats and some cooked veggies.

FEBRUARY 2015
Pounds Lost: 6

February wrap up - I started a modified cleanse after my initial 10 days which incorporated a meal of lean protein at dinner. I can definitely see why cutting out salt and processed foods are important to detoxifying my body. March 1st I will begin my 2nd full cleanse (3/1-3/10) and see how things go. I could use more toning exercises in my regimen.

MARCH 2015
Pounds Lost: 8

March wrap up - My second cleanse I "cheated" a bit. Not terribly but I know if I stick to the program I will yield better results. I experimented with new ways of preparing cauliflower and broccoli. I even bought some ingredients I haven't tried before. For my April cleanse I will have a better daily regimen and see what happens when I give it 100%. I also lost 2 more inches off my waist 1" off each thigh and 1" off my hips. I'm on my way! :)

APRIL 2015
Pounds Lost: NONE! In fact I was up 2 lbs.

PMS weight for some of it, but mostly poor eating for almost an entire week that hung around during my weigh in. I'm getting back on track for May - I got fashions awaiting! ****UPDATE**** 5/6/15 - AFTER CLEAN EATING FOR THE LAST WEEK - I LOST 6 POUNDS.****BACK ON TRACK AND AWAITING MAY'S RESULTS IN 3 MORE WEEKS!!!

MAY 2015
Pounds Lost: 7 Inches off waist: 2"

**UPDATE** (5/10/15) Non-official results indicate I'm down another pound (in addition to the 6 lbs. lost from the beginning of this week - and lots on inches in the waist and thighs!) LEA - PLEASE DON'T SCREW THIS UP - YOU'RE ON A MISSION!!! Basically, I've maintained my weight loss from the beginning of May and noticed some inches lost however I cheated myself with poor food choices and not working out as diligently as I was. I only worked out 15 days, however I worked out for longer periods of time (on my hikes)

RX for June: Use my TGF more and Strength Train Drink my smoothies twice a day (most days). GOAL: Lose 7-10 pounds.

My Goals:
My ultimate long-term goal is to have a SUSTAINABLE weight loss.

I need to finish what I started. Period.

My Program:
-Work out 4-6 days a week.
-Strength train 3 times a
week.

-DRINK MY WATER.

-Only weigh myself once a week or only once a month. Use clothes as more of a gauge to see if I've lost INCHES.

-Remember that weight loss is a process.

-Mix it up! Try new ways of working out!

-Don't become frustrated with myself if I don't see instant results.

-Remember first and foremost: THIS IS A LIFESTYLE, NOT A PASSING PHASE.

-Smile.

Personal Information:
- Interior designer for 23 years.
- Never had a favorite color.
-Favorite emotion: Laughing so hard until you cry and almost pee your pants.
- Deathly allergic to cats.

- I'm a goofball and find a way to laugh at just about everything. (Except when people fall...that's just not funny.)

-Fluent in Sarcasm.

-I've got a mean right hook and a pretty wicked jump shot.

-Ex Nu-Yawka.

-You're not completely dressed unless you're wearing earrings, lip-gloss and a smile!

Other Information:
I've never worn a bikini.
And I want to just to say I did. So there!

Weird things about me:
1. I don't trust everyone's potato salad.

2. I ALWAYS carry a toothbrush and toothpaste. (And a spare for a friend, just in case.)

3. I can't write with pencils.

4. I don't like the way newspaper feels.

5. I finally got a Face Book account.

6. When I'm really upset I switch between speaking English and Spanish.

7. I get bored easily and have the attention span of a gnat.

Good to see fellow Sparker's being active on here!

emoticon on your loss so far!!! That's amazing! emoticon That's almost 40lbs less of you!!! I have to agree! Eating clean without the process stuff, refined carbs, dairy and even animal product does contribute to more of a weight loss. Ever since I learned about that I too started experimenting and when I decided to do a more of a plant based lifestyle and get my protein from a plant source the weight came off easier because you are getting rid of those stubborn toxins that hold on to fat and make you bloated. I kinda off fell of the wagon a little with so many things going on in my life but I know that's the way to go!

Keep it up girly! You sure have managed to find something that works for you and that's awesome! Looking forward to June's update!

Hey you.... no problem, happy to hear from you!

Seems like the green diet is working you, I have heard a lot of good things with similar diets. I may try to add some green smoothies in myself, it won't hurt! Keep up the good work! emoticon

I had fallen off over the holidays and my dog of 15 years died suddenly on Dec.21st, so I am rebounding from that. Still have very sad days but I am just taking it day by day.

This has been a good week... I have been eating well and walking... my plan is to increase the intensity of my exercise over the weekend... add in some strength training and HIIT workouts, but nothing crazy.

Thanks for stopping by and thinking of me. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend my dear emoticon
