New Start

May 23, 2014
Once again, I start again. I have lost count of how many do-overs this makes. Maybe this time it will make a difference! I have my physical in a month and it won't be pretty if I don't get my act together. So, looking into ways to lose the weight and to increase the exercise....comes down to stop eating so much! DH was told today he will have to follow a low fat diet, so that means I will as well. I also want to cut back on my carbs. I am going to set my trackers up to ...

I am going to set my trackers up to track protein and carbs. I am sick of looking the way I do. I am sick of being the fat one in the pictures and not looking the way that my mind thinks I look.
Spark friends, I am asking for your help in my journey this time. I need to commit to one way of eating and one way of living. The clock starts now, tonight, for the rest of my life.

Retirement is an adjustment. I retired to a part time job at the public library and that made for a smoother transition. Today I'm closer to those co-workers than those I taught with. But I'm fully retired now and enjoying it. It took time to reinvent myself and that meant developing new friendships too. We keep growing and changing, but we need to get "out" to do that. Hugs.

Thank you for the suggestion about having something special to touch to help with anxiety. I am going to give that a try! :) emoticon
