My highest weight was 192 pounds and now my goal is to keep my weight in the 130-135 pound range. I'm loving the grand adventure of maintenance!
I was a vegetarian for 27 years and have been vegan for over 3 years and have never felt better! I'm also a recovering sugar addict, so I know lots of tricks for avoiding sugar. I love to exercise and vary my workouts quite a bit. Strength training, yoga, Pilates, bellydancing--I love it all! I like to spend time time in the kitchen cooking up healthy vegan dishes or "vegan-izing" old favorites. I'm all about having lots of color in my food; the more vegetables the better!
I live in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and I work at a gourmet/health food store.
I've been with the same guy for over 30 years and am ridiculously happy with my husband!
I'm 51 years old and at the age where I'm ready and willing to step into the role of Queen of my own life. I've earned it! It doesn't matter if others don't recognize me as royalty, it's enough that I know it!
I saw your message in the What are you reading thread, and just wanted to say - I LOVED Saving Cee-Cee Hunicutt. Some people thought it was too whimsical, not REAL enough. I on the other hand wished I had my very own trinity of guardian angels. I wish she would write a continuation :)
Hi! I got your message. I haven't been on Spark People for months and months, but I am coming back now. I need to as I have gained back most of the weight that I lost. I feel so bad that I let you down about writing down what I'm eating. I feel ashamed on loads of levels. For some reason the last weeks I've been eating the worst junk food. Quite a binge in fact. Anyway, I think you're wonderful and you're obviously eating all the right stuff!
