I have many goals for my future. Ironically, most of them are tied directly to my health and well being.

1. to RUN my first official half marathon. (completed 10-12)
2. to obtain my 2nd degree black belt.
3. To continue to build my life coaching business. My hope is to help others take control of their lives and empower them ...

My running hasn't changed much since I began other than I am officially a Vibrams runner. Since I got mine in December 2010, I haven't run in anything else.

My target weight goal is 155.


My Program:
Martial Arts - work out twice per week with my class.

Yoga - working on getting my home practice established. I really love how yoga makes me feel on so many levels.

Running - started in September 2010 via couch 2 5k program. I have since caught the bug.

Personal Information:
I am living in South Florida amidst the heat, the bugs and the paradise like weather.

I really love it here. The humidity and gigantic bugs make for some great blog posts and the "winters" here are hard to beat.

Hey, Queenie! Thanks for dropping in. Just completed week 1 this morning. I'm going MWF, but Mom was sitting for a neighbor last night and I was charged with keeping the kidlet entertained. Got the run in, first thing this morning, though. I also added a 30min walk on TTh to help keep the soreness at bay. I did increase my potassium intake, too... emoticon Feeling pretty good so far. I told myself that, if I stick with it for the first month, I would reward myself with some killer running shoes. Can't wait... emoticon

Was so interested in your comment about the Vibrams. I'm seriously thinking of getting a pair next month. I've been reading about them and listening or reading comments for a while now and think I would really like them.

Hi!!! Thanks for the add, and sooooooooo cool that you have VFFs!! I'm gonna take the transition slowly, because I can't afford developing a problem at this point in my marathon training. But I'm so looking forward to getting used to them.

Looking forward to getting to know you! Oh, btw, I used to live in S. Florida, in the Jupiter/W. Palm area, very short time in Miami too. Anyway, I must say I don't miss the heat!

Love my vibrams, just started wearing them this year..wore them alot in the house at first when I would do my Chalean Extreme or Turbofire...you start off slowly building up the mileage...wore them mainly this summer for my races and my times improved.....I am now starting HM training...hope to wear them more....LOVE THEM...
