Ready for Action



After feeling depleted for some time during a difficult pregnancy, a hard childbirth, and almost a year of learning to be a parent for a high-needs baby I am propelled back into action, reaching my fitness and wellness goals. I get up at 4am to pump iron at the gym and integrate movement into my daily routine while working part time and taking care of business at home. My current goals include:

After feeling depleted for some time during a difficult pregnancy, a hard childbirth, and almost a year of learning to be a parent for a high-needs baby I am propelled back into action, reaching my fitness and wellness goals. I get up at 4am to pump iron at the gym and integrate movement into my daily routine while working part time and taking care of business at home. My current goals include:

1. Working out at the gym 3 times a week, lifting and light cardio; an evening exercise class from time to time

2. Reducing the time I spend with student work, managing my work time better and getting my finances in shape along with me

3. Focusing my energy to where it needs to be most


I was a Spark member several years ago (LadyZherra) and became obsessive. I was a workout addict who had gone way too far. After more than three years of changing my lifestyle and focusing my energy in healthy ways, I come back to Spark with new goals and as a different woman who can prize what is really meaningful in her life, put aside what can wait, and share her world with those she loves. I am glad to be back and hope that I can keep this fire burning for life.

Hey Girl!

Thank you for the kind comments on my page. I can so identify with you when you talk about a high needs baby and being so exhausted. My son is 3 now but I really feel for you because I remember the newborn period vividly. He is still high needs actually though. LOL. Good for you for making the hard choice to put yourself first. Lead by example to your children, that is my motto. I was going out of my mind that first year (I had a toddler too). LA Fitness and the childcare there really changed my life for the better. Talk about 700 bucks that was well worth it! :)
Tidbit about me, I am getting ready to get my Group Ex cert through AFAA and studying for ACSM personal trainer too. Wish you lived closer!!! So hard to find profitable part time work when your main priority is to stay at home. Childcare is sooooo expensive anyway. Anyway, I digress. Have a great day today, it's off to the gym early for me and then to MEET THE TEACHER for my brand new kindergartner! Woot!

Hey there! About the juicing....as long as you are getting in a good amount of protein, healthy fats and calories from your other foods - you should be fine!! I could not do a juice fast and train but I always juice in addtion to my foods - so for example I had my juice this morning then a bit later I had my eggs mixed with chicken and brown rice.

I love juicing and blending and sometimes a fast of both can be good but not while training I would imagine.....I could not do it!! :)
