Try, try, try and try again

I have been losing weight, then gaining weight, then losing etc etc. It's frustrating - but I realized that I was being too hard on myself. By reading books and reading online and talking to people face to face, I have realized that weight loss (and keeping it off) is something you just have to keep trying to do. It's worth it. And if you fail again, pick yourself up as quickly as possible and get back on the train. My worst enemy is my need to be perfect. I try to follow a diet to the T and I ...

And if you fail again, pick yourself up as quickly as possible and get back on the train. My worst enemy is my need to be perfect. I try to follow a diet to the T and I am stubborn and don't make adjustments along the way - which makes me unhappy and I quit. My goal is to take things MUCH slower. Before, I was losing 10 pounds a month...through self deprivation - and it was only lasting about a month at a time. I need to be much more kind to myself.

My Goals:
I'm going to keep changing my goals as I go along. Since I get obsessed about weight loss when I first decide to lose weight - and I make huge changes - and try to be perfect right for the get-go, I am changing that pattern as of today. My first goal is to track what I eat, no matter WHAT I eat. I am excited to start trying to lose weight again - and have a more realistic plan - and I'm not being so hard on myself.

My Program:
I'm just tracking what I eat no matter what I eat. This is a huge step for me - taking small steps instead of leaping and then failing and then giving up.

Personal Information:
I am from Peterborough, Ontario - Canada.

Other Information:
I absolutely love animals. I would love to work with animals in the future, when my physical health has improved.

Hi,
Welcome to the Partnership Accountability to the Finish Line team. We are happy to have you with our team. Please feel free to introduce yourself to the team, if you have not already done so. Be sure to read the thread "Click Here: To help find a partner and learn what to do next." It will help you find someone who has similar goals who can support you and you can support them on your way in reaching both yours and their goals. If you need help finding someone, please let me know, since I am here for you anytime. I hope to get to know you better. Have a great day!!
