Thanks for stopping by my page-Hubs' mom is one of those, honest "you've got enough to worry about" people who doesn't want to add to our stress just because she's ill. (Unlike my mother, sigh). She sometimes posts news on facebook for her friend in Australia, and didn't used to stop and think to call Hubs before he saw it there!
I had a long talk with her when we were dealing with her cancer scare (which turned out to be a calcium deposit, thank God) and let her know how upset Hubs was, but that he didn't want to say anything that would sound mean just because he was hurt and angry. (I mediate a LOT with them, lol) So, now they're working on communicating more. He wasn't calling her because her heart condition, diabetes, and MS exhaust her and he doesn't like her overdoing. She was upset because he wasn't calling her. He was upset she was upset and not calling him, She didn't want to bother him at work, etc. I finally had enough and let them both have it (lovingly and by telling them they were driving me bat crap crazy!). They're really doing much better than when I met Hubs about 13 years ago. So am I!
Thanks for commenting on my National Pizza Day blog. I think the point of Toothache Day is not to have one - preventative care (brush, floss, Yada yada) and treating them as soon as possible after you get one, so it doesn't get worse. Some of the days make me scratch my head in wonder. 18 days ago
