My road to a healthy lifestyle

I'm loud, opinionated, independent, a little girlie, a little tomboyish. I swear worse than a drunken sailor and make smart comments. Take it or leave it.

I'm Robin, I joined the Spark family July 15 2008. I'm 54, 4 foot 10 1/2 and needed to lose 20 lbs. I lost 20 lbs between July 08 and May 09 but gained it back . So I am pulling myself back up, brushing myself off and moving forward once again. I will NOT give up, Fall down 7 times, get up 8.

I have diabetes, thyroid problems, gout, high blood pressure that has come down, high cholesterol that has come down, all of which I take pills for. I KNOW by changing my lifestyle, eating healthier, exercising and with the motivation from all of you wonderful Spark Friends, I will beat these bumps in the road. We CAN do this together!

YES I'M A YANKEES FAN and I really hate people who can't look past a logo, but feel the need to leave rude, nasty comments on your page because of it. For crying out loud, it's just a game.

Hey to each his own but the consensus is steaming and microwaves are the best way to cook vegetables. The less water used the less nutrients go down the drain.
I have taught a lot of people how to do it some like it others go back to their pots and Pans.
I was happy to see CHAIRUL on your page WOOHOO, you are so much closer to her. We have not seen each other this year yet, I am so looking forward to getting down there. The classes Tuesday through Friday have cramped our style but the weather would not have been conducive to go WEST. HUGS hopefully soon. HUGS Pat in Maine. Thanks for the comment on my Blog. I had hope to get out on Saturday, Fred was weary so was I . Last night I slept 12 hours. We went to a concert today and I did a 1.5 mile walk then went to dinner. If I am dragging my Butt tomorrow I will call the Doc for blood work.
