The times are changing.

I am jumping back up and making a re-commitment to myself! I realized with the past year that I was not in a healthy place mentally or physically.

I had spent the prior year with an amazing teammate who helped motivate me and move me to making great strides and growth in finding myself and caring for myself. I am jumping back up and making a re-commitment to myself! I realized with the past year that I was not in a healthy place mentally or physically.

I had spent the prior year with an amazing teammate who helped motivate me and move me to making great strides and growth in finding myself and caring for myself. But when I changed roles again, the stressers seemed to double. I appeared cool and collected, but I was paddling and doing everything I could to keep myself above water. The year put so much turmoil in my life, that all I did was cut back on the gym almost completely, eat for stress relief, and became what I had not wanted to be again.

I took some steps at the end of last school year to remedy that- I left my position and school of 5 years, I took a new job, I taught summer school somewhere else, I actually took a vacation and got away from everything with a great friend, and started to become more of myself again.

I set goals for my new job- which include getting home earlier to spend time with my husband, not to do as much work outside of my building, and to set boundaries- not offer to do too much/ forget to say no.

As I am now almost 2.5 months into my new role, I am taking the next big step- more frequent gym visits, cutting back on my soda, and really making sure I get all 3 meals and that they are healthier and smaller portions.

So cheers to the new times and the rekindling of what looks to be a promising journey with twists and turns!

Hi,

For all Dad's ""Happy Father's Day""
I want to share with you a quote about Fathers'. I came across.

My Dad said ALL of these things many, many times, as I am sure your Dad did. (at least a few, anyway).
All these things bring up so, so many memories of my Dad. He passed away over 5 years ago, but there isn't a day that I do not think about him, and the special memories of him. This morning when I woke up, before I even got up, I looked up, and said "Happy Father's Day, Dad"
