Finding the Fit Girl Inside

I'm a university student from Canada trying to lose weight and get strong and healthy!

My highest weight was approximately 270 lbs in January 2014. I had been at a stressful desk job for 2 years at this point, where I had slowly watched my weight creep up on me. My highest weight was approximately 270 lbs in January 2014. I had been at a stressful desk job for 2 years at this point, where I had slowly watched my weight creep up on me. I was eating all day long at that job... unhealthy, greasy breakfast sandwiches, more fast food for lunch, afternoon lattes, and Friday pizza lunches. I never exercised, because not only was it hard to find the time, but I was also exhausted, stressed and drained from work all the time.

In January 2014, I quit my job and went back to university. During the early months of 2014, I lost some weight on my own by packing my lunches and bringing them to school. Walking around on campus probably helped as well!

In May 2014, I had what I guess you could call an "awakening" and I felt disciplined and really motivated to lose weight. I started my Weight Watchers journey in May 2014 at 253 lbs. I was very successful with Weight Watchers, and lost 25 lbs, bringing my weight to approximately 228 lbs.

As of November 2014, I quit Weight Watchers (I'm a broke student now and couldn't keep up with how expensive it was, although I have nothing but good things to say about it). I began tracking my calories through My Fitness Pal and exercising regularly.

The tracking didn't work out so well, and over the past year, I have gained some weight back. It is now September 2015, and I weigh 240 lbs. Time to get back into gear and start working really hard again.

My ultimate goal weight is 150 lbs. I am taking this slow and steady. My goals are longterm and I am in no rush to do any sort of crash diet/weight loss. I used to be such a healthy, fit and strong individual who played soccer, field hockey, volleyball and tennis. I skiied. I swam. I was strong and felt amazing. I want to find that girl again. I want to uncover her again.

My Program:
I try to track my calories (on My Fitness Pal) every day. I also try to work out at least 3 times a week, combining cardio and strength training. I weigh myself once a week.
