Hello. My name is May, I live in NYC, and I'm a 21 year old soon-to-be college freshman. I'm terrible at writing summaries so I'll just get to the point. I've been taking a lot steps lately to better myself and I've decided to finally tackle on a major cause of my unhappiness: my weight. Do I want to be skinny? Yup! But that's not the only thing I want. I want to be healthy, fit, and strong, too. I'm tired of feeling trapped in a heavy, weak body and I think it's about time I started doing something about it.
My goal is to lose 115 lbs. That's A LOT of weight, which is why I'm looking for a buddy (preferably one who lives nearby and who has similar goals) to make the journey a little less lonely.
I really, really want to start jogging, which is why I'm seriously considering starting the Couch-to-5K program. If anyone is interested and lives near the Williamsburg area, feel free to send me a message. McCarren Park has a great track we could put to good use.
In addition to jogging, I'd also like to start lifting weights and doing yoga. Maybe even kickboxing or dancing. Sports-wise I enjoy swimming, playing volleyball and badminton, and jumping rope.
