Try Oxycise! No jumping, no running. Get heart rate up by special breathing technique. Lose weight/inches by flexing certain muscles while doing the breathing technique. Try the Easy Does It series aimed at those of us who are limited. I'm just a user, not a salesperson. But i think it's terrific.

And read the success stories of seniors:

Good luck,

Wanted to respond to your comment about someone making a suggestion for exercise you might like. Do you have a favorite television show or music program? I exercise (walk on treadmill or do light weight moves) while watching my show!! When the show is done I am too! It is a 30minute program. I started just during commercials and worked in sections until I was moving during the whole show! I hope you find something you can enjoy. And I am jealous of your music skill! I can't even tune in a radio!

Hi, I saw where you had asked,"what if you can't move 30, or even 10 minutes," to get in exercise?
I found myself in that position 5 years back. I learned about chair exercises. Never knew there were so many things one could do sitting down.
I used resistance bands to lay on the bed and with the help of the band raise my leg. At first I could only do a few. It tired me out. But gradually I started to regain strength in my legs and it became easier.
Later I would use my walker to walk and sit when I had to.
I had both my knees replaced , so now i get around better.
Still experience hip problems, and with RA, some days are not as easy.
But as long as I can do something, even if only a little, I feel I'm moving some and that's good.
So don't think of how long, just do what you are capable of.
I still find myself using my resistance bands to help me in many of my exercises. When I'm laying on the bed why not . It's almost like not exercising. Just seeing how many leg lifts i can do.
Take care.
Spark on.

Hi, Renee!
I'm sorry to hear you're struggling right now.
I have found it helpful to read the stories of Sparkpeople who have been down this same road. Have you read ONTOVICTORY's blogs starting on January 25? This series is for motivating the people at his gym. It sure worked on me!
