ONE STEP AT A TIME

When i was younger I was a chunky kid so the year before high school I went on a diet and lost alot. I maintained that for within 20 pounds for years until I got preg. with my son. Bed rest for 2 months, Eclampsia and toxicemia left me swollen and huge. I have never been able to lose and keep off the weight. My son is now 11. I also quit smoking April 10th, 2011 and chocolate took smokings place for a while, this added another 20 or so pounds. On top of all of this my doctor tells me that I am ...

So all this has to stop, I have to get rid of this extra weight once and for all. 50 pounds is my aim, that's not skinny that is just where I remember feeling good about myself. SO... here we go

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain

"Making changes in your life is never an easy task. The key, however, is not to get caught up in the distance you have to go to get to where you want to be. Nor should you despair over the amount of control you have over your circumstances. Progress is made in the small, intentional steps, and chances are, you have more power than you think. By focusing on little steps you can take every day, the progress you make will motivate you to continue your journey, and eventually, you can go wherever you want to go. The important thing is simply to begin."
-Stephen Cherniske

"The first step to living the life you want is leaving the life you don't want.
Taking the first step forward is always the hardest.
But then each step forward gets easier and easier.
Each step forward gets you closer and closer until eventually, what had once been invisible starts to be visible.
And what had once felt impossible starts to feel possible."

"Today is a new day. It's a day you have never seen before and will never see again.
Stop telling yourself the 'same crap, different day' lie! How many days has that lie stolen from you?
Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today! Recognize that throughout this beautiful day, you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life into the direction you want it to go.”
