A New Leaf

Hi! Thanks for coming to my spark

I thought I would be happier losing weight. I thought being hungry, sore, and tired would be worth it once I was in skinny jeans.

Then I realized I was looking at it all wrong. I kept stressing about my size, and how I needed to be smaller, I was punishing myself for not looking a certain way, and forgot to cherish the fact that I have this amazing body. I've decided to honor it, and embrace happiness.

Your resolution seems like a good plan, just focus on fitness goals you want to reach and eat healthy foods.

If you are in this for the long run, there is no hurry, just make small changes one step at a time and only add a new change if you are comfortable with the changes made so far.

I know of SP members who won't make any changes that they are not willing or able to keep for the rest of their lives. I personally am not that strict, if I have a challenge coming I might push a bit harder when exercising or stick to my calorie range a bit better, but I do see their point.

So good luck on the new goals, I am sure you will be fine!

Thank you for my high five Goodie. I love your new resolution. If we starve our selfs and over work our bodies what is the point. We need to enjoy this life that we have. emoticon
