My name is Michelle. I'm in my mid-forties and am in the process of losing the weight I gained in the past 15 years. However, once I went from retail work to desk work AND crossed into my thirties, my metabolism changed ... though my eating habits did not. It caught up to me almost instantaneously and I have struggled to lose weight ever since. I did try Weight Watchers before and started to have success with it but when I stopped tracking my points, the weight came back. That was about 8 years ago. I am finally ready to stick with a plan to get healthy. The plan is simply to make healthy food choices and gradually begin working out. I now weigh less than I have since before I lost with Weight Watchers! So, onward I go!

My Goals:
A healthy lifestyle is my main goal, currently with a focus on weight loss. I started year 2013 at 226 lbs which is in the lower range of the “Obese” category on the BMI scale.

Weight loss goal is to lose 67 pounds, making me 159 lbs. This will bring me to the middle range of the BMI scale for “Normal Weight”.

***25 May 2013*** Weight: 206 lbs – I lost 20 pounds! Now changed from "Obese" down to "Over-weight" on the BMI scale!!

***16 June 2013: 205 lbs***

***14 July 2013: 203 lbs***

***4 August 2013: 200 lbs***

***11 August 2013: 198 lbs***

***14 October 2013: 193.6 lbs***

***6 January 2014: 198.2 lbs***

***19 January 2014: 195 lbs***

***8 March 2014: 189.4 lbs***

My Program:
FOOD
Currently my goal is 1,244 - 1,600 calories per day. I try to stick to mostly whole foods and want to work towards eating a modified Paleo diet. It won’t be strict Paleo but I want to use a lot of the recipes I’ve found on the web.

EXERCISE
I am still figuring out workout program but this is what I've done so far:

*Brisk walks at least 10 minutes twice per day, Monday through Friday. Mix with stairs and small hills.
*Pilates 30 minutes 4 or 5 days per week.
