Getting back in the groove...

I joined SparkPeople in January 2010 to start tracking calorie intake and have found a great resource for health and fitness. It was the best thing I did after joining a gym!

I had some physical setbacks in 2014 1nd 2015. I was not consistent getting on SP and getting to the gym during that time either. Although I currently have something going on with tight and sore leg muscles all the time, I am now restarting.....

Right now I am working on getting 20-30 minutes of any type of workout in every day.

Getting to the gym a minimum of 3 days a week.

Daily stretching.

My Program:
3-5 days a week at the gym; watching calorie intake,; changed eating habits. It is working no matter how slowly!

Thank you so much for your comments on my recent blog “Congratulations – you have won 86,400…” I have been overwhelmed and honoured by the response and receiving a popular blog award. I am happy if you would like to pass it on to other friends - the message is very powerful.
In the past three weeks my mother-in-law passed away at 93, my brother-in-law had open heart surgery to repair an aortic aneurysm and my son’s mother-in-law has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and is undergoing radical surgery tomorrow.
Together with these events, the article came to my inbox as a timely reminder to me that our time here is numbered and every minute that we are given is too precious to waste on unimportant negativity.
As Sparkie friends, we are sharing the journey to focus on being as healthy as possible and finding a successful balance in our lives – through healthy eating, exercise and happy relationships – I just wanted to share the article with everyone and I am humbled that it also resonated with so many others.
