Tired of the merry go round

I found Spark thru the application for the android phone. I was already trying to live healthier and I like the approach of the site and the sense of community. Now I am on my way to a better me.

2014 I have been here since July 2010, I suffer from seasonal slumps, in February and again in October (sometimes September, sometimes it holds off until almost November) I gradually fall off track. For whatever reason during those months I slowly grind to a halt. I don't notice it ...
I found Spark thru the application for the android phone. I was already trying to live healthier and I like the approach of the site and the sense of community. Now I am on my way to a better me.

2014 I have been here since July 2010, I suffer from seasonal slumps, in February and again in October (sometimes September, sometimes it holds off until almost November) I gradually fall off track. For whatever reason during those months I slowly grind to a halt. I don't notice it until I have reached the point where all I do is trudge thru my days going to work and coming home and barely doing anything else. Usually during these times I also gain back the weight I have lost. I have been keeping off about 15 pounds since my initial spark start, but I have been gaining and losing another 15 in cycles ever since.
I have learned a few things about myself on this journey, one of them is that I don't respond well to challenges. I am not the type of person who gets competitive and wants to finish a challenge, instead I drop off and lose interest. I would rather just do my own thing. This is why I have dropped out of the challenge related teams I was in previously.
I have also learned I enjoy walking, and I love biking, but I hate running. I started the last several years at about 215 pounds, my goal is to start 2015 at less than that even if it is only a pound or two less than that.
