Just a very short blip?

HI, Im Richard. Not really sure what to put. Originally from Swansea but living in Brum for the last 9 years - just decided to stay after uni.

I was fairly fit, regularly cycling back to swansea and doing races over about 120-140 miles. Played, lots sports and captained teams and organised competitions. Raised quite a bit for charity too. HI, Im Richard. Not really sure what to put. Originally from Swansea but living in Brum for the last 9 years - just decided to stay after uni.

I was fairly fit, regularly cycling back to swansea and doing races over about 120-140 miles. Played, lots sports and captained teams and organised competitions. Raised quite a bit for charity too. One morning decided to ride lands end john o groats (950 milles the route we chose), couple of weeks late did it in 8 days with our luguage on panier). Raised 1,500 that time.

I am always up for things and like trying new things too.

Lat year (May 30th) got injured may back bad in football competition (which I organised). Doctor said 6 months, so i decided to half it, but meant that ad to pull out of lots races (including L'etape: tour de france open stage in Pyrenees). As I was recovering I got asked to go to our Dubai office to help out for a few weeks and met a French girl and stayed for 7 months - it is not possible to train there with working hours and the weather. Only thing I could do was diving and a bit of swimming on the beach, but not enough to keep fit enough.

So that was a convoluted excuse to the reason I piled on a few stone. Now am using this site to throw the stones awaya nd get back on my bike and help with motivation and structure. Started playing squash again and football, took up badminton too.

I do not like being out of shape and it has been difficult with motivation and hence I need to contrain this blip to a one bad year blip...

Trying to control diet (but stags and weddings are cropping up fast and thick).
Doing quite a lot of sport again.
Squash, badminton and football once a week.

Very eclectic. I like most music and most films. Very outgoing and usually like to take lead - sometimes a little over domineering. Very driven in most things.

Hi Richard,
Sorry its been so long and that we haven't met to play a round of badminton yet... I have had to have surgery again so back to square one of the fitness and what the physio will let me do.
Hope all is well with you and as soon as the physio will let me I'll be in touch! :)
