Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.

1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.

2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.

The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. Spark friends are here for support, motivation and encouragement. Good luck on your journey to a healthier lifestyle! Again, welcome to the SP family!

Congrats on taking the next step to reaching a healthier you by getting active with SparkPeople - it's a great community, wonderful resources and fantastic support. You did a great job with losing 150 lbs on WW and you'll do a great job losing 50 with SparkPeople if you put the same effort into it. You're off to a great start already, just by posting here!

Please check out the SparkTeams - I think you will find a lot of others 'just like you' including many with the same challenges, circumstances and goals. There are teams for people who follow or used to follow WW, too. You can choose SparkTeams by age group, lifestyle or interests, geographic location or several other ways.

Some of the teams I like and think you might like include the Official 10-minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge, Starting Over Weekly Mini-Challenge Team, 10k Steps A Day and Motivation & Positive Attitude Plan - but there are so many to choose from, you can have a great time looking for the ones that seem to fit you best! In fact, I suggest joining more than one group, post your intro there and write blogs as often as you can - you will find tons of friends and support that way, I promise!!

In my experience, SparkPeople is like a emoticon in some ways - it's lots of fun and easy to make friends because we're all in this together. I like the way a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE is emphasized instead of a 'quick fix wonder diet' so it's good for people wanting to lose weight, maintain a previous loss, get healthier, improve fitness and many other goals including gaining weight or saving money - it's about waaaaaay more than 'just' losing weight so you have definitely come to the right place!

If you ever need any help using features of the site, there are tutorial videos under the HELP section that can show you how to use the features of the site. You can also find them on the START page and several other places on the site.

Be sure to read and 'study' The Spark book because it outlines the overall program and is compatible with most types of eating plans. Right now there is a 'special offer' on Amazon to get it in electronic format for just $1.99 - you can download the free Kindle reader for your computer or read it on a smartphone so you don't have to actually own a Kindle device to take advantage of this generous offer - so check it out!!!

If you haven't already discovered the SparkDiet linked at the bottom of the START page, check it out - the program is simple but extremely effective. There is a TON of information on this site - so much it might even seem overwhelming but fortunately we don't have to 'digest' everything at once! The FastBreak program is a good way to start.

Another nice thing about SparkPeople is that we have permission to be human - we don't have to change everything at once or be in a hurry to reach our goals. Take a few baby steps and then a few more and before you know it, you'll have completed a long journey - I hope you enjoy this community as much as I have - it teaches us how to make positive lifetime changes because that's the only thing that will work over time!

Happy Holidays! emoticon

Hows it going? I am doing GREAT! emoticon I have been very busy here and there..I have tired to stick to my diet but it was very hard to do..being Gulten free is extremely hard emoticon !

On Thanksgiving emoticon I ate reg food and it landed me in the Er..no fun, wont do that again,lol...Its still a hard change for me, even though there are foods out there for me, its very hard (BUT) I will win this. emoticon

Come Monday (tomorrow) I plan on walking 1 mile daily..thats it no more then that emoticon

So whats going with you?? Hows your healthy eating coming along?? My weight is the same 156 (bummer) but I am hoping that by the end of Dec I will be at least 5 pounds down..time will tell,lol.. Ok I have to emoticon tag other Spark friends..so I will holler at you later this week.. emoticon Its the holidays!! Peace and Love,Sonia

Well this morning i thought that I will make you some breakfast emoticon

So have a seat and use your imagination with me. here we go..........


I made some coffee and tea not sure which one you like est emoticon I also made emoticon that is fresh emoticon Picked from my neighbors tree (dont tell them) hahahaah..I also made my self at home while I was there and grab some emoticon they looked so good, and some emoticon I had to look at the colors so beautiful, then I saw the emoticon wow grab them too, I started to walk out of her yard and I notice the emoticon my fav fruit in the world!! I had to grab it too, minding my own as I was walking I trip over these emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon then I notice a cow and I thought what if you like milk so I grab some fresh emoticon just for you (let me tell you it was a battle grabbing that milk from that cow, I got kicked 4 times my upper teeth feel out and a chicken garb them so I ran emoticon fast to the hen house to fine my teeth in the nest with some fresh eggs emoticon and I thought emoticon you might like emoticon I did see the pig but it looked mean so sorry I had to pass that up this time. So please sit down and enjoy,..

Guess who,its me again emoticon Hows is everything going?
I see that your weight loss is coming along emoticon mine is good,steady,lol....Well as you can see I took a spark break too much going on in my house....

Anyway, I found this little poem at Womans World and I wanted to share it with all my friends :)
