A brand new year but still no noticeable weight loss. I had surgery on my foot on Dec. 17, 2015 to remove bone spurs, and I was diagnosed with severe nerve disorder in my lower extremities and moderate disorder in my arms and hands. The only exercise I got last year was at my job, I work as a cashier and I'm on my feet and slightly active, but, I would get home and be in so much pain due to all the health problems that I didn't want to move. I'm currently on a leave of absence from work because of my surgery and I'm really hoping I can find some motivation to do chair exercises.

I would like to lose alot more then 50 pounds, although even 15 would be better then nothing right now.

Alot of walking. My daughter and I have been walking around the city park and walking to the grocery store instead of driving there. Plus I've been trying to waatch how much I eat.

I was born in Texas and raised in Arkansas. I use to weigh 135 pounds before I became prgnant for the first time, and I haven't seen that weight in 23 years. If I can get below 200 I'll be happy.

Welcome to the battle. A pound a week sounds like a reasonable goal, but your cardiologist will give a better opinion.
My mom had a heart attack at 47. She wasn't as fortunate as you. My dad had one at 53, he has had to have a pacemaker put in, and now 15 years later his heart is enlarged. But really all in all, he is and has been doing really well. He eats great and walks every day. He also takes his medicine and sees his cardiologist. His weight loss has been up and down.
I worry a lot about a heart attack, and weight wise I am way above you. But so far, my tests are good. I do think the more I can do, the better my heart will do. Everything helps. I had the advantage of an early warning of my parents and my doctor watches me like a hawk. I'll feel better when I can get more weight off though.
