SP is a great resource.

Here I am, back at SP again.

My goals ... managing the weight because of my joints and acid reflux. Exercising for strength, flexibility, balance, cardio. Being consistent with healthy living. Being accountable to myself for my habits by getting on the scale.

I tend to use food when I am upset / depressed / anxious etc. Emotional eating is an issue. If I don't watch myself carefully, I backslide quickly.

My goals relate to healthier living in general. This involves body, mind, and spirit.

My struggle has been to remain consistent. It seems that I set goals and make a plan, only to get sidetracked by my own emotions.



My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals.

For right now -

- Cardio minimum 1 mile x 6 days / week
- Weights / stretching minimum 20 minutes 6 days / week
- Drink my water
- Take my vitamins
- Journal food / exercise

My name is Marie and I live with my husband in a town of about 12,000 in Alberta, Canada. No children. I'm 60 years old.


I worked as a clerk in a bank for 25 years and now work as a part time bookkeeper.

My nature is to be introverted. (If you are aware of personality typing - MBTI INFJ / enneagram 4w5.)

I need a lot of alone time to keep my batteries charged. On the other hand, I really enjoy having one-on-one conversations with people.

Hobbies & Interests

So many interests and hobbies and not enough time. Some of my hobbies are researching and organizing our family history, using photo editing software, scrapbooking, making jewellery, playing piano, drawing, reading, learning, cooking, and so on.

My favourite ways to keep active are walking, using weights, using our recumbent bike, and stretching. Old injuries to my back, hip, neck, etc., are requiring a lot of stretching these days.

My dear husband is retired, and he and I have the opportunity to spend time together, which is something I'm very grateful for.

    I'm not sure where you live. Hubby adjusts hail damage on crops with his clients' insurance adjuster. (He works for the farmer to ensure they get fairly compensated for loss after a hail storm or even wildlife damage) I travel up to the Peace Country with him as it is a long drive. While he is in the fields I relax and do my own thing. This year we stayed in Valley View at the Horizon Inn. We are usually there 2 or 3 days. Love your country.

    Hey Pretty Lady, just dropping in to see how you are doing. DH and I were in your area just a few days ago. We were there in July as well. Such a beautiful part of our lovely Alberta you live in. Love visiting the Peace Country in autumn-----well, any time of the year actually.
