Perseverence is a huge part of a successful diet. Continually ask God for commitment to your cause. And ask for his blessing. He is good to give it. This is what I tell everyone who reads my page, now it is my turn to follow through and listen to my own advice. I need to recommit my eating plan to God and ask him to direct my path each morning before I have a chance to do something wrong or unhealthy.
Keep this Bible verse close to you. It has gotten me through some really rough times:
Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
My thought for today and tomorrow is: I'm determined to make it, no matter what! If you have kept up with some of my blogs, especially #52, you'll see that I had a lot of ups and downs for 2015, but I never gave up. I'm still here and still working towards my goal of Onederland. Right now, I'm struggling and have gained back 25 pounds of the weight that I lost so I won't be seeing Onederland this year, but I will see it one of these days.
Remember, no matter what, be determined to make it and you will.....and keep God as #1.
I hope you will join me on my journey as I strive towards Onederland. And keep the Lord as #1 because He will never let you down. Praise the Lord and God Bless you.

I'd like to lose weight so I can breathe better, so I can walk in the sunshine, so I can go shopping with my daughter, just so I can feel better again. I'm so tired of being fat and unhealthy and a mess to look at.
I'd also like to get some help for my horrific back and leg pain from the sciatica nerve but am getting very discouraged by the lack of progress and the string of doctors I have seen over the last year. And now I have found out that surgery is not an option for me because my back is so back and I have so many health risks that two surgeons have turned me down for surgery. And now my right hip and leg are acting up and are very painful and cortisone shots have not helped. I'm told that a hip replacement is in my near future.
At the suggestion of my internist, I am doing the Atkins program which is a low carbohydrate diet. It works well for me because I don't get as hungry as I do when I am counting calories. I have weighed as much as 360 but my original starting wt was 350 in 2008 up through 2011. As of June 2012, I had lost 100 pounds with Spark People. Unfortunately, I got off track and gained back around 57 pounds of the weight I had lost. I have since lost some of that weight and was hoping to get to Onederland by the end of 2015. Unfortunately, I got off track again so it won't be this year, but I will do it one of these days. WE CAN DO IT.
My name's Ginger and I live in South Carolina. I am a transplanted Yankee and while I miss some things, I sure don't miss all that snow from Rochester, NY!! I love the South, love to garden, love to try new recipes, but most of all, love the Lord and my family most of all.
Love to read, especially mysteries, enjoy knitting and also sewing. Hope to learn to quilt maybe this year. Right now I"m trying to get myself in better health because I've had more than a few setbacks the past few years including two hospitalizations. My previous blogs will tell you what's happened and where I am now after MAJOR surgery in 2012.
