I am facing several health issues that limit my tolerance for physical activity, but I am still a relatively young and fairly intelligent woman, so I think I should be able to manage. ***UPDATE*** After my long awaited vacation back in August, my progress came to a standstill. Unfortunately, unlike in football, I don't get credit for where I 'stopped forward motion', and I've regained almost 10 lbs. This goes to show that it is a struggle, an addiction, just like any other addiction. I'm human and capable of slipping. I won't feed the cycle by feeling guilt over it. These have been my decisions, and I own them. But that doesn't mean I should continue to make the same ones, now does it? Own it, and move on!! My Goals:
My goal is to reach and maintain a healthy weight through managing my addiction/obsession with food. To stop being self-conscious and isolated because of my weight. To set a healthy example and undo the unhealthy habits I've taught my children. TO PROVE I CAN DO THIS!! REWARDS: *20 lbs down (185)- 2 new outfits (check! 5/2012) *30 lbs down (175)- a new pair of running shoes **DONE 6/29/12 *at 167 (half-way point)- Celebrate! *50 lbs down (155)- professional massage (another one, besides the one my DH gifted me with for Christmas!) *60 lbs down (145)- 2 new outfits * 70 lbs down (135)- weekend trip with hubby!!! *75 lbs down (GOAL)- CELEBRATE!!! And look great in my pictures :)
My Program:
I am currently trying to maintain a calorie intake of between 1200-1550/day. Trying to move more, lie around less. Documenting my journey through this blog as well working thru ElizRN's workshop.
Other Information:
Let's see... I'm a Christian, I have great kids and an amazing husband, I sing and play bass guitar.
