Busy & Running

In April 2010, I decided to do something... four months later, I was 30 pounds lighter and now almost 2 years later, I've lost 50 pounds.

I broke the treadmill in June 2010 and started running outside. As a result of all of this, I found that I really enjoy running! I ran my first 5k in August 2010 and now train with a local running group and race regularly (2-4 races per month).

In January 2011, I completed the Disney World Half Marathon. And in January 2012, I completed the Disney World Goofy Challenge (Half Marathon on Sat followed by a Full Marathon on Sun).

Other than running, I restarted TaeKwon-Do (after about a 10-year break) and expect to test for my Black Belt in May 2012. Outside of my exercise routine, I work full-time and am finishing up my Masters degree in Computer Science.

Very busy...

For stress relief, my wife and I have two dogs and a cat, who all need lots of TLC.

Thanks! It was/is tough after not running. I missed it but getting back on track is tough.

Today's HM was tough too. Not my worst but no where near my best.

Congratulations on your Disney World Half Marathon! That was also my first half marathon in January 2008. This year (January 2011), I went back and completed my 10th Half marathon there as well as my first full (as part of the Goofy Challenge). So watch out, I am sure there is a Goofy in you too! :)
