2014 - Will This Be The Year?

You would think that, at my age (and I'm no spring chicken!) I'd have this whole "healthy lifestyle" thing down pat. After all, I've been at this for many years, and as a home care nurse, I see the results every single day of the destructive things we can do to ourselves that eventually make us unable to live our lives to their fullest.

Yeah, well....................... think again.

My brain tells me that I *know* what to do..............but something inside me ...

My brain tells me that I *know* what to do..............but something inside me keeps the signals from getting to where they need to go.

This year, for many reasons, has to be my year that it finally works.......that it finally sinks in.................that I do this - for me. If I am the best me I can be for *me*, then I can be the best me I can be for those I love...............

My Goals:
1. Learn to rely less on "numbers" and more on "look and feel"

2. When looking at numbers, be realistic in what I can attain and maintain and still feel healthy.

3. Maintain some kind of exercise program.

4. Stay active and healthy so I can play with The Princess....and camp......and bike......

My Program:
Counting calories, portion-control, and increasing exercise are things that have worked well for me as long as I do them! My exercise needs to incorporate some ST.........and has for a very long time.......

Personal Information:
My name is Linda, and I live in Central Ohio. I'm 58, I'm a nurse, and have finally learned to appreciate my own health. What I still haven't learned is to take better care of me by putting myself first in the "taking care of" department. That's a very hard thing to do and I plan on trying to be better about it in 2014.

Other Information:
I love to travel, love to camp, and love to bike (as in the pedal kind!). I also love to read but don't do nearly as much of it as I should!
