Adding this to my vision board!
ROXYZMOM is a SparkPeople Motivator!
I am in my sixth year of living a healthy life style!!
I celebrated my fifth year anniversary with SparkPeople February 12, 2016. I reached my goal weight on 2/7/12 - almost a year to the day I joined SparkPeople!! Sometimes my weight goes up a little bit, but I manage to drop it back down and maintain with different challenges on the SparkPeople web site, the support of my SparkBuddies as well as future physical goals.
I started off with walking. If you would have told me three years ago that I would have run a 5k, I would have never believed it!
As of today, I have run 5ks, 10k's, 3 ten milers, and 5 Half Marathons! Funny how fast one's perspective can change...even for us middle-aged people!
Even though I have conquered all of the above, I am faced with an even bigger "challenge". I lost my 26 year old son last November to Anorexia Nervosa. I am in the first year of my grieving process and it is very difficult. I need to stay healthy, but, it is not the first thing on my mind. And, since he passed away from counting calories, weighing himself on the scale 3 times per day, and eating halves of everything - it has been a real mental challenge for me.
My favorite quotes...

I can't believe the medical system here. If you are very sick, you need someone to be your advocate and to stay with you. I didn't like the urologist.

It isn't a scam. Two top doctors recommend it, Dr. Sarah Hallberg and Dr. Steve Phinney. It just does not sound like the company wants any liability if anything goes wrong, like being hacked. I know there are no guarantees when we are online, but it just seemed strange to me.
It is being recommended to others that use the Reversing Diabetes site. The discount given to the group expires at the end of this month so I wanted to be signed up, even if there was nothing available in my state now. Dr. Westman has trained people and does something called HEAL clinics in North Carolina.
I don't know very many computer terms and probably would need someone that could guide me on the computer to do some things that I was not familiar with. I don't think they would do that.

I am taking two Vitamin D gelcaps daily for a dosage of 2,000 units a day, plus the calcium pill has vitamin D in it too-400 mg. Thank you for the link to the article.
The health care thing I had hoped to join had many disclaimers about security and wanted you to agree to their charges without seeing them. I decided not to go with it because I am not proficient on computers to know what they might be telling me to do. I would have had to purchase a Smartphone for apps and I don't know how to use one of them either. Initial cost was $400 for a year with a discount from a group I am on, plus the Smartphone and phone service. I was willing to go that route, but after starting the sign up process and reading everything, I have decided it is not for me.
I get phone calls now from people in Baltimore saying that I signed up with them to receive diabetic supplies. I never have bought my supplies anywhere but from the local pharmacy or Walmart. I think it is a scam to bill my insurance. I hang up on them and tell them not to call this number. I have been threatening to turn them into the FCC and the calls have dwindled. I would not know if I was getting a call from this health care, if it was a legitimate call and advertisers can contact you.
