I'll be 48 in May of 2015. I'm a wife and mother of two adult children. (One, 19, is still at home.) We have a great dog and cat, and I adore animals. I live in MN, but am trying to get my butt to someplace warmer - perhaps NC.
I'm a Zombies, Run walker/runner, I use a FitBit tracker every day, and I want to start and MAINTAIN a yoga practice. I would like to lose weight, but my primary goal is to feel better.
Update, November 2014: After falling away from SP, I'm coming back, but cautiously. If I'm not careful, it takes too much time. I've lost approx. 10 pounds, and I want to lose 20 more, but I don't want to stress out over it. I'm challenged by a difficult phase in my perimenopause, and I need to be kind to myself.
It's most important to me to feel generally healthy and energetic. I write and work on the computer a lot, and need to move more.
An ultimate goal is that I'd like to be able to run again - the way I did when I was a kid: with a sense of joy of freedom.
1. Move daily. (Yoga, Zombies, Run!, walking, etc.)
2. Get my average daily steps up into the 8,000 steps per day range ... with no days under 5,000.
3. Blog my gratitudes at SP daily.
4. Being productive in my chosen field improves my mood and attitude immensely. For that reason, I want to write on my blog and/or my novels EVERY DAY.
5. Looking good also improves my ability to function well. For that reason, I want to stay on top of a good hygiene and beauty routine. That means being clean, being well-dressed for the situation, wearing a little (or a lot) of makeup, and being accessorized with cool, distinctive "stuff".

Loved and appreciated your comment on my blog post. And yes, sometimes just knowing you are not alone helps. I guess things like NaNo are good for us in more ways than one. Keep up the great work. We'll figure out how this creative stuff fits in with being structured and organized eventually. And then, look out world, some amazing stories will be coming your way! :-)

Actual butchering. I have chickens and had to cull two of my birds. I don't do it often so it takes me a lot longer than someone skilled at it!

Thanks for the welcome to our team and what part of NC do you live in. We used to have a summer cabin there for about 10 years and LOVED it...wish we hadn't sold it...boooooo~
