Motivation to Lose This Fat Forever!!

I know how to lose - lost 120 with WW, 95 with exercise physiologist, 85 on Atkins, 85 from gastric bypass. This time I want to lose and keep it off. For the first time my weight is effecting my lifestyle with arthritis in my knees. I am really excited about being a SparkPerson!!
By the way, my name is Kay. Long story on the Rubydoodle....

My Goals:
I want to lose at least 130 pounds because my knees are getting really bad. I want to be upwardly mobile for a long time!

My Program:
I use the nutrition tracker and the activity tracker. I am walking at least five days a week for 50 minutes a day and staying within 1200 - 1550 calories to lose 2 pounds weekly.

Personal Information:
I am Kay, 64 years young, and live in Townsend, TN. My husband (of 44 years - a keeper) and I are retired educators and camp about six months a year - usually out West/Northwest in summer, Outer Banks of NC and coast of SC in fall, and Florida Keys for the winter.

Other Information:
I have three children (twin daughters and son). The girls are married and each has a son and daughter (My FabFour). My son is not married -- yet. I still have hopes he will find the right one!

We had a wonderful trip!!! We are home, and I am enjoying my Christmas decorations. The past few Christmases, I only had a tabletop tree because we would go to SC around Dec. 21 and then to the Keys after Christmas. This year I got out all the decorations and am enjoying them so much. So far, so good with the pill. I still go every three weeks for the Herceptin infusions, too. I still feel tired all the time, but most days I am able to push through them. Today we are going to Dollywood and see the Christmas shows there and to a couple of stores before Dollywood opens. Dollywood always has great Christmas decorations and shows. We have not had annual passes for several years because we were traveling during our favorite times there. Merry Christmas! I hope your holidays are wonderful!! Oh, I gained about 10 pounds while we were at the beach, but they came right off when we got back. I will be bad today because we ate breakfast at a restaurant and will eat supper at Dollywood. Oh well, I will get back on track for the long run Jan. 2!! emoticon

Thank you, Karen, for the happy face! I have really worked at continuing to lose weight during chemo, but I have treated myself much more often!! My goal was to get through with no gain. I will be on Herceptin for nine months, so that will end in June some time. Plus, at some point, I have to take a pill for maybe five years or so for the other breast cancer they found just a smidgen amount - the estrogen fed one. My oncologist said he tackled the nasty one first, but I am glad to be through with Taxol!! God is good! I truly feel blessed and happy!!

I just saw a comment about your chemo - am praying for you - I know you can do it! I am 2.25 years cancer free and working on losing the weight I gained during chemo (terrible sweet tooth, ice cream tasted great). From one pink warrior to another - stay strong! emoticon
