Hi! My name is Moni and welcome to my SparkPage!!! After my second son was born, my weight was out of control. One day reading an article in a Woman's magazine there was a write-up on SparkPeople. I logged on but did not really work the program. Well one day I was fed up with being fed-up and started working the program. My heaviest weight was well over 275 lbs. At first I would drink water. Then I worked on eating fruits and veggies. I would do 10 mins of exercise daily and now I am up to 60 mins of activity. I also sign up for 5K races during the season!!! From a Couch Potato to Walk/Jogging 5Ks!!! I know I still have more work to do but I love the way I feel!! I love that I have energy and I love that I have a smile on my face from ear to ear. If I can do it - so can you. I am working on the new me one baby step at a time. So join me on this awesome journey. You won't regret it!! Take care of yourself, Hugs, Moni :-)

My Goals:
My goals are: to eat at least five serviings of fruits and veggies daily; drink 8 glasses of water, keep jogging/walking daily and get 8 hours of sleep.

I am staying active on a daily basis and being positive about all of my achievements. I log in my exercise, food and water.


My Program:
I, Moni, Today, I promise I will not quit.

I pledge that no matter how many ups and downs I pass through, I will continue on my journey.

I live in the Northwestern part of New Jersey. Just celebrated 23 years of marriage. I have two boys ages 20 and 16. I am a self-taught Paralegal working with my husband.

    Thanks for the hot tub. Not used to the sudden drop in temps yet, so it will help warm me up! I know what you mean about teams being quiet. There's only so much one person can do. And if you're the only one posting, it can get discouraging too. I'm sure you're doing all you can.
    Christine asked me to be backup CL, but I declined. Couldn't even handle doing 2 challenges at once, though I tried. And I know it would drive me crazy with all the people who STILL post their fitness and LTGL challenge numbers at the end of the week instead of daily. After all, it IS made clear that this is a race so you need to post as soon as you get them. I'm sure the Monarchs would have been one of the first 3 to reach the goal many times, if only people had posted when they earned the points!
