One day at a time!

My Goals:
My long range goal is to improve my health: lower my blood pressure, increase stamina and look good in clothes that aren't designed to camoflauge.

My Program:
I am abiding by the weight tracker and aim to be within range most days. I will do strength exercises three times per week and for Lent am using my exercise bike for 30 minutes daily. If I want something not as healthy, I will at least pause and reflect for 5 minutes before I indulge. I will drink 8 glasses of water per day and eat a minumum of 5 fruits/veggies daily. I will limit whining to no more than one episode per day. I will also shoot for at least 40 Spark Points a day.

Personal Information:
I am 56 and live in the Midwest. I am currently working only part-time, but continue looking for full time employment. Tried gardening for the first time and will expand this year. Love to read and have been working on numerous projects on the house. I enjoying couponing and rebating to make up for the loss in income.

Hi Margie,
Thank you for sending me a goodie -- always appreciated:), but my tracker is WAY out of date so though at one point I was down 29 pounds that is no longer the case (ahem). All we can do is keep going, right? Our journey does not follow a straight path -- sometimes easy, sometimes hard, but still worth it.

My goodness this "journey" has been a roller coaster ride. I'm back in the game and building momentum tho. The logging really is so beneficial. When I 'm in full swing, I don't mind it so much. But when I stray, it is so difficult to reacquaint myself with the habit. I have noticed I've become too reliant on Spark for the thinking part of it. All this time of Sparking and I don't have caloric values committed to memory. I haven't had to. Just like cell phone usage has marred my ability to remember phone numbers, the nutrition tracking on here has left my brain unchallenged in calorie knowledge. These thoughts were confirmed the other night when the site went down and I hadn't eaten dinner yet. I want to be free from logging food at some point in my life while maintaining a healthy weight. Time to challenge my brain. lol Great job on your tracking AND weight loss! And thanks for being an incredible support! Hope all is well with the classes and remember to pamper that foot. emoticon
