I'm working on getting healthy and strong. I've been up and down on my weight all my life and hope to get myself to my goal weight this year, 2016. I still need to lose another 45 pounds because I gained all the weight I lost. I'm slowly getting back into run/walk since I pretty much didn't run at all last year. So pretty much I'm starting over.

A little history.....
I slowly started running in March 2007 at 172 pounds and lost 30 pounds that year. I had never run or did any sports before but at 44 I was ready and eager for a change. I couldn't run half a block without huffing and puffing so I did a lot of walking and slowly my running increased from 1 minute to 2 minutes to finishing a marathon, 2 half marathons and a 5k in 2008. I plan to continue to run races and I don''t see an end in sight. When I run I love to see people in their 70's and 80's still running in races and I hope to be one of them. I am a slow runner, but I love it. My son was there to see me cross the finish line at my first marathon and immediately wanted to be a part of it, he has now run 5 half marathons with me and a 10k on his own. Even my now 12 year old has run in 2 kids 1 mile runs while I ran in my half's and has his own medals!
