YES!! I have decided to revive my Sparkpage after being MIA for probably over a year. However, my schedule is very very demanding, so I may not be able to answer much on here, or check out everyone else's blogs, or reply when I get messages. I hope I can still be an inspiration & encouragement to others....
A little about myself:
I've been a long-time runner, but always struggled with my weight. It took me a long time to realize that absolute importance of nutrition. After having my twins in 2008, I found myself at my highest weight ever.... 175 lbs. It was time for an overhaul. I started following the Maker's Diet (which is not really a diet at all, but a clean, healthy way of life), & slowly started running again. It was a long haul, but the weight DID come off. I still struggle with not letting bad habits creep back in, but I KEEP WORKING AT IT!
Since then, I also have started doing long distance races. I ran my first HM in 2009, & my first marathon in 2011. I love running events, & love the motivation it gives me to challenge myself to new distances & improving my times.

4-5 days weekly (Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, and Sat)
Saturday: Long run
2-3x a week
MY DIET ROCKS!! I follow the diet philosophies of Sally Fallon and Jordan Rubin (Maker's Diet). I believe in eating a holistic, natural diet, aimed at being healthy, not losing weight. I eat a high-protein diet with lots of vegetables and fruits and only 100% whole grains, mostly organic stuff, and as free from chemical additives and flavor enhancers as possible... well you get the picture! LOVE IT!

I'm finishing up with this round of LiveFit at the end of this week and then taking a week off to recover and will just be running a few days a week to keep up with the half marathon training plan, maybe throwing a little ST in to not lose my gains... but not so much that I exhaust myself. I'll be restarting the program on Monday, April 3rd! If you start that day we can be doing it together!
I've had a pretty crazy week too! Is it a full moon or something, because the people at work have been insane, and things at home have just been nuts. And don't even get me started on my flat tire situating a couple of days ago! LOL

Hey! Thanks. Yes, I'm kinda here. Like Becki mostly for tracking. Especially during the winter months when in GA and relying solely on my phone for internet. I am currently running a lot of races with a goal of 60 half's in 18 months. I think I have 17 to go with a little less than three month remaining.

I do remember, by the way, seeing on FB that you moved. I didn't realize it was to Tally though. I love the Tallahassee marathon, and I'm a HUGE FSU fan. I may be hitting you up for a place to stay for the marathon next February. LOL

It does seem like many of our old Spark friends aren't around the site anymore. I need the tracking here for accountability.
I'm doing well with my workouts and starting back with the running. After my knee surgery, there was NONE, so my 12 miles a week that I will have when it's done is a lot for me. I have a 5k tomorrow. Only my second one since I started back.
Most of my workouts have been strength training focused. I am doing Jamie Eason's LiveFit program on bodybuilding.com. It's pretty awesome. I am in my 3rd round of the 12 week plan since May, and plan to go through it again when this one is over. I extended this round by doing phase 2 twice.
