Getting back into running

I'm Heather. I'm 32 yrs old. I'm from Virginia Beach, Va. I'm a single mom to 2 amazing little girls, who also happen to have special needs, but that just makes them more amazing. I've struggled with health issues for many years, which also means that I've struggled with my weight for a long time, but in the past couple of years I've started to get my health under control so my weight is getting there, too. I've struggled with health issues for many years, which also means that I've struggled with my weight for a long time, but in the past couple of years I've started to get my health under control so my weight is getting there, too. I started running the beginning of 2012 My highest weight was 236 in March 2014. I've lost quite a bit, and I've changed my life a lot because of running. It's not just an activity, it's a lifestyle, I think. I completed my first race, the Shamrock 8k in March 2012, and not even 6 months later completed my first half marathon, the Rock n Roll Half Marathon in September. Since then I've completed another three other half marathons. I am now training for my 5th half marathon in March. And I hope to eventually do a full marathon!

My Goals:
I hope to get healthy and feel better about myself. Not be so tired all the time. Get out of the double digit pant size. And hopefully get my "girls" down to a C-cup!

My Program:
Cutting out soda (done)
Cut down on the fast food to maybe once in awhile.
Drink more water.
Choose better options.
Be consistent with my meds.
Stay active!

Personal Information:
I'm currently in a relationship with a great guy (2/19/2012). I have Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Insomnia, Severe Chronic Migraines, Plantar Fasicitis, and a heart condition.

Other Information:
I'm definitely a music lover! Rock, classic rock, pop, country, classical. Love to read, love movies.

Oh how I wish I could run. My favorite was the half marathon. I also used to do triathlons. The longer ones were the best. I used the shorter distances for training. :D

Good Luck in your half marathon. I'll be rooting for you :D
