Feeling the Burn!

I've been a runner for years and that is where my focus has been. I've injured myself and cannot run for another 3 months. Pounds seem to pack on and I'm taking control before the weight takes it! I live in the interior of Alaska so taking exercise outside is next to impossible when temps hit -50F.

Hi there! I hope you're healing well. For a runner, injury is soooo annoying! I also tried P90x last year. Very much a quality program and very tough! I had to stop because I wasn't able to maintain high quality running workouts while doing P90x at the same time. It would be ideal when you can't run though. Good luck with that and keep us posted about how it's going.

I hope P90X has started showing you the results you were looking for! You're about a month ahead of me so I look forward to hearing about how it goes!

Hey there, how are things going? How is the program going for you?? I'm in week 4 now and am in the "recovery week". I hope that I see more results as the days go on!

Hey there, sorry for the late response!

Before P90X I was doing the INSANITY program which is a big step up from the intensity of P90X. I'd heard about P90X, but I wanted to do the program that SEEMED like it was going to give me great results and fast. And it was only a 60 day program! But INSANITY was more of a cardio-based workout program and didn't require any weights or equipment. All I used was my own body resistance. I didn't lose a POUND by the end of program! But then I did more research on P90X and saw the results stories so I decided to give it a shot. And the fact that we use weights and equipment made me think that this program was going to be different. Especially since muscle burns fat! And I actually like that this program is 90 days long so my body has longer to adjust and change!

Congrats on the weigh in! I still haven't taken my measurements or weight. emoticon
