Love and Gratitude

Hello, my name is Amy. I've been Sparking since January 2014 and I've had some success with weight loss, yes, though it's been a bit of a rocky road. I haven't hit my goals in the time that I had set, but I have learned some pretty valuable lessons. Most importantly, I've learned to love myself enough to like who I am regardless of my weight. Hello, my name is Amy. I've been Sparking since January 2014 and I've had some success with weight loss, yes, though it's been a bit of a rocky road. I haven't hit my goals in the time that I had set, but I have learned some pretty valuable lessons. Most importantly, I've learned to love myself enough to like who I am regardless of my weight. It is a lot easier to get physically healthy when you are mentally healthy as well!

I've learned also to be grateful, something that sounds small but has had a huge impact for me. That gratitude has me behaving in ways that are healthier, taking care of what I've got. While I have some big issues with depression, having a place where I can blog/rant has given me tremendous insight so that I can recognize when a dark period is coming on. For me that is huge.

Finally, this sight has given me the opportunity to make friends who share my experiences, a tremendous asset when you are re-learning just who it is you are. Their objective insights have made it possible for me to keep making small changes. A lot of small changes that have made a big difference in my life.

Reach 163 by November 12, 2015.

Teach my children to be healthy by giving a good example.

Smaller goals: Lose an average of 2 lbs. per week.

Drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Get some form of exercise for 30 minutes a day, minimum 5 days per week.
