Future Ms. Slim & Trim

I am a 27 year old female, who decided May 31 I have had enough. I'm tired of spending so much time thinking about food, eating food, craving food. I want to spend my time enjoying life as a thin, energetic woman, instead of the overweight woman I've become. I refuse to become another statistic, I will lose the weight and exercise and do what ever else I need to do!

It occured to me that while that's my motivation, it's not the reason(s) I became overweight. I was not a big child, I was skinny as a rail, up until about age 14 and then I gradually gained weight and there were several reasons for that. My mother had let say strange ideas about food, no snacking before dinner, never mind that lunch was at 11 and dinner wouldn't be until 8. Junk food was bad, unless you were an adult, it created an environment where and I'm not alone in this my sisters also, did this, snuck food and when I hit puberty I also got a job and access to money and instead of crying my eyes out because of the kids at school I was able to turn to food. When I finally realized what I was doing it was a vicious circle, I now loved food.

But I am so over food, I am not going to allow it to control my life any longer. I am going to stop being ashamed of my body, pretending that I don't care what people say, and lose the weight so that I can have the life I deserve!

"You are destined to SUCCEED! We all have a crisis of confidence now and then.
But within each of us is a voice that whispers,"You can do it."
The more we listen, the louder and clearer it will become.
Deep down inside, you know you've got what it takes to achieve whatever you set your mind to.
So instead of ignoring that little voice, turn up the volume!"

"What is it that you would like to achieve?
What is it that you wish to change, improve upon, create, express or experience?
If you ever want it to happen, now is when you must do something about it.
If it is your desire to see it come about, it is your responsibility to make the necessary effort."

"Today is a new day. It's a day you have never seen before and will never see again.
Stop telling yourself the 'same crap, different day' lie! How many days has that lie stolen from you?
Seize the wonder and uniqueness of today! Recognize that throughout this beautiful day,
you have an incredible amount of opportunities to move your life into the direction you want it to go.”
